Women who had delivered premature babies have increased risk of heart disease hose decades later.
In presenting the report the results of research at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Janet Catov and his colleagues confirmed the link between the birth of premature infants with disorders of heart problems for the mothers.
The group of scientists examined data from 446 women with an age limit of 80 years, and six percent reported never having a baby prematurely.
