Allowed Vaccines for Pregnant Women

Vaccines containing no active virus proved to be safe and pose no risk to the fetus. The following is a vaccine may be given to pregnant women:

Tetanus toxoid (TT): To prevent tetanus bacteria that can cause tetanus. A mother may be exposed to infection during childbirth.

Hepatitis B: Immunization is given to pregnant women who have a high risk of hepatitis B and hepatitis has negative test results.
