IF the skin care at home does not provide results for a few weeks of treatment or you have acne (especially a large lump that is painful and can cause injury), then go see a dermatologist. The doctor will prescribe more potent than the retinoids and antimicrobials such as benzoyl peroxide species to kill bacteria and resolve inflammation.
There is a more suitable treatment for many problems caused due to aging and dry skin. If there is no progress within a few months, other types of drugs can be added.
